32. Be Proactive With Your Healthcare

Think of proactive healthcare as a benefit and use it to the fullest. What do I mean by that? Get your annual physical every year whether you think you need it or not. Go to the dentist as frequently as you are covered. I you have vision coverage, don’t miss an annual eye exam too. Ladies, when you come of age, make sure you get your annual mammogram for early detection. Being your own advocate when it comes to your health is something the system doesn’t help you with so you need to be proactive on your own, but it is well worth it – no pun intended.
